The Gown Trends. A Creative Expression of Individuality.

The bridal gown is perhaps the most important decision to be made when beginning the planning for a wedding. The gown sets the stage and the entire wedding can be themed around the dress.

When shopping for a gown, Ashley DuMutiis, Regional Manager of The White Magnolia Bridal Collection, offers this advice — the smaller the group the better. “Bring those one to three people who are key to making your decision and that give you advice you trust,” said DuMutiis. “Too many opinions can be very overwhelming and brides could end up with a gown that they wouldn’t have otherwise, if brides find themselves easily swayed! Less is more, when it comes to dress shopping.”

“We are loving the boho beach bride right now,” said Sarah Crotty, Lead Stylist at Malindy Elene. “Our new line, Made with Love, is perfect for tropical weddings here in Florida.” Crotty also says that some brides think outside the box, brides with unique headpieces and funky earrings. “Brides are trying new lace patterns, low backs and long trains, while still loving that classic twist,” said Crotty.

“It’s all about the back,” concurs Viktoria Jones, owner of The Bride Tampa. “Whether a bride is looking for simple lines in a dress or an extravagant design, she is always intrigued by a beautiful back. Gorgeous low backs, illusion panels and unique lace designs, are all a girl needs when it comes to her wedding gown,” said Jones. “We have a gorgeous selection of gowns with back details that are second to none.”

From a super casual beach wedding to an elaborate church affair, each bride should search for the dress that captivates her passion and artistic style.   TBW
